I’m so excited to write this article. First of all, I was instructed by the Holy Ghost to write articles on prophecies being fulfilled for these last days. He gave me several topics which we’ll write about over a period of time.
He basically said “your calling is to do the work of an evangelist. There’s overwhelming evidence for you to write on end times. Help them to see where they are in God’s timeline.”
Can you see the love He has for people? How can you not? He doesn’t want you to miss out on a thing! He wants you to know it all. He wants you to know exactly where you are on His timeline. Remember what Jesus said in the Gospel of John?
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15 New International Version.
With that in mind, let’s connect it to the definition of a prophecy. Where will we find that? None other than the book of love.
But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortationand comfort to men. 1 Corinthians 14:3 New King James Version.
So then, prophecy; according to Dad’s love letter to us, is there to build us up, supernaturally encourage and bring us comfort. As He said in John, He isn’t keeping anything from us, but informs us of our Father’s business.
“Okay, we’ve all heard about this second coming but it doesn’t look like it’s coming any time soon, or maybe not even in our time. Besides, doesn’t the bible say no man knows the day or the hour?” you may say.
knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:3-7 New King James Version.
First of all, you’re not the first person to say this. However, misquoting scripture and taking verses out of context will create confusion. For instance, the “no man knows the day or hour” is referring to Matthew 24:33 and if you read the preceding verses, you’ll see it’s talking about His coming where every tribe shall see Him coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory. However, in verses 32 and 33 He says learn a parable of the fig tree, when its branch is tender and leaves begin to show, you know that summer is at the door. So likewise, He says when you shall see all these things come to pass know that it is near, even at the doors.
So what does that mean? It’s actually very simple, yes you might not know the hour or even second that Jesus will appear in the clouds, but that doesn’t mean you’re going to be oblivious to the time frame we’re in either. In fact, He wants you to have an idea, actually a very good idea how near you are even at the doors as He said because He wants you to be prepared. All this has to line up with who He is, He is love 1 John 4:8. So, someone who loves you tells you He’s coming. But for who?
You obviously!
Wouldn’t He want you to be awake and prepared? Of course, and that’s what prophecy is all about.
So why are there scoffers? Well the Bible is clear on that, it’s because they operate in their own lusts etc. but it’s also because of erroneous teaching. People preaching that Jesus is definitely coming in October (for example) and so, builds up a false hope and people get disappointed. So yes; based on that, people will scoff because they’ve been down that road before so to speak, but it’s also their fault. You can’t live your life as a Christian never having read your Bible. How else would you know if someone was telling you the truth or not?
This is why you have to have proof! And it’s really not that difficult either to stick to the truth. We have it, and we have overwhelming evidence of it. End time prophecy will always be centred around Israel. Yes, there are other countries involved but they’re only involved because they’re attacking Israel. Other than that, prophecy will not be on any other country but Israel.
As we start this series of articles that cover end time prophecies, be sure to follow in your bible to stay connected to the truth, look at current events and how they show prophecies fulfilled. Then you’ll slowly begin to see the bigger picture unfold and you’ll be amazed to see that you were chosen to be a part of this final act.
In His Love
